Facilities requested replacement of the courthouse 7th‑floor air handler — an original unit more than 40 years old — and the court approved a $217,000 replacement using building maintenance funds and an Omnia cooperative purchase. The court also authorized a $13,500 payment to Silverado Oilfield Services to remove and refresh arena dirt at the Horseshoe and approved installation of bird netting at the Horseshoe for $42,700 (budgeted under landscaping/pest control).
The county awarded an RFP (MCO 655) to Danny’s Asphalt Paving for repaving the annex parking lot at $277,500. The court also approved change orders with Dunaway (about $206,000 total) to cover construction oversight and utility coordination for East County Road 120 turn‑lane and South County Road 1250/Aneta Drive projects; staff said funds are available in project budgets.
Vandergriff Group proposals for design and construction administration services were approved for the 5th‑floor courthouse renovation and for measurement and design work at 608 North Main (to add an elevator and bring the building up to code). The court also approved RICO lease agreements and related software rentals presented as budgeted items.
All votes were recorded as voice votes with motions seconded and passing; staff noted budget availability for each item during the presentations.
