After a workshop briefing, the Trussville City Council unanimously approved a resolution on April 28 amending the FY2026 budget to reflect updated revenue and expense estimates.
Finance Director Joseph Calvert briefed councilors during the agenda workshop that updated projections raised the estimated surplus to about $1.7 million, compared with $1.0 million in the original budget. Councilor Brian Jackson introduced the budget amendment resolution and Councilor Kimberly Farr seconded the motion; the council approved Resolution No. 2026-32 unanimously.
