"This should be a safe place for all children's," he said, asking the board to "review what happened" and to "hold the appropriate people accountable." He also said his family would no longer send the child to the campus while concerns persist.
Superintendent Dr. Howard acknowledged receiving the complaint and said district staff had "listened to your concerns and taken appropriate action," and offered to connect the family with district contacts to follow up. Trustees and other speakers at the podium praised Mr. Sanchez for speaking publicly and urged prompt attention to student safety needs; one trustee noted additional families have shared similar concerns about restroom safety at the campus.
