During the meeting finance staff reviewed two items called out in the agenda. Resolution 26131 would award crossing‑guard services to an outside vendor; council staff said the change is projected to save about $31,000 in year one and about $33,000 in year two by outsourcing administration and reducing internal liability and management time. Resolution 26133 presented sample estimated tax figures for the third quarter: using an illustrative average assessed home value of $185,262, the report showed county, school, municipal and library components and provided a total illustrative tax figure for discussion.
Council members said each resolution would be documented in the meeting minutes and the borough clerk will publish the official resolution texts and implementation assignments. No amendments to the consent items were proposed at this meeting.
