Commission approves Morris plan extension, CDBG support letters and several routine items
Summary
Commissioners approved a continuation for the Morris plan to Sept. 16, ratified staff subdivision comments, approved two supportive CDBG letters for New Buffalo projects, accepted the treasurer's report and approved routine expense payments and an LPA agreement with Center Township.
The Perry County Planning Commission approved several procedural items and routine actions during the meeting.
Time extension for Morris plan: Berget and Associates requested additional time to address stormwater details for the Morris plan and asked to continue the review to the county planning commission meeting on Sept. 16. The commission moved, seconded and approved the continuance.
CDBG support letters: Two small Community Development Block Grant repair projects in New Buffalo (in floodplain-affected areas) were reviewed; staff recommended support and the commission approved sending letters endorsing those applications.
Subdivision and treasurer actions: Commissioners ratified staff subdivision-review comments and accepted the treasurer's report for filing. A motion to pay $575 to Tri County for expenses was moved and carried.
LPA agreement: The commission approved an LPA agreement to assist Center Township with expedited zoning-ordinance drafting.
Adjournment: With no further business, the commission adjourned after roughly one hour.
