Three new Spanish Fork police officers sworn in at council meeting

At the start of the April 7 Spanish Fork City Council meeting, Chief Matt Johnson introduced three new police officers who were sworn in before council and family members.
Chief Johnson described Curt (Kurt) Dunn as a transfer from the San Juan County Sheriff's Office with roughly four years of law-enforcement experience and noted his performance in the department's field-training program. He introduced Trevor McGuire, a Spanish Fork native with two years'experience and a bachelor's degree in forensic science who speaks Spanish, and Moises Fernandez, who began part-time with the department three months earlier after working at Mapleton City.
Mayor administered the oath to the three officers in a combined ceremony and thanked their families for their support. Chief Johnson and council members welcomed the officers and said they were pleased by their early performance.
