Board approves zoning variations, plats and map amendment requests for Butterfield Road and school properties
Summary
The Village Board authorized staff to proceed with zoning variations for Mundelein High School District 120 (parking-lot landscaping), approved a preliminary and final plat for properties at 1212 and 1250 S. Butterfield Road, and instructed staff to prepare a map amendment and variations for 1250 S. Butterfield Road.
The Mundelein Village Board on Feb. 23 approved several land‑use items brought forward by the Community & Economic Development committee.
Trustee Warris moved to pass an ordinance approving a variation from zoning requirements for interior parking‑lot islands and shade trees for Mundelein High School District 120 at 1350 and 1500 West Holly Street. The motion was seconded and approved by roll call.
Warris also moved to authorize staff to prepare a resolution approving the preliminary and final plat of subdivision for 1212 and 1250 South Butterfield Road; that motion was seconded and passed. Finally, the board authorized staff to prepare an ordinance for a map amendment and zoning variations for 1250 South Butterfield Road; the motion was seconded and approved by roll call.
In each instance, trustees registered their votes by roll call and the motions passed. Staff will prepare formal ordinance/resolution language and bring final documents back for adoption as needed.
