Ernie Bilitaire, president of Mundelein Community Connection, reviewed the group’s event activity (monthly bingo, Tight Head, park-on-park, farmers market, craft beer fest, arts festival, Santa's Cottage, winter tree lighting) and said the organization seeks to keep events free to encourage community participation.
Bilitaire reported 58 business sponsors, 33 business members and 25 household members, and said the group will assign a board member as a champion for each event to guide programming and consider changes to improve attendance and experience. He said MCC plans focus groups, surveys and a strategic plan to grow membership and better coordinate with the village and Park District.
Bilitaire said MCC will eliminate quarterly lunches in favor of different networking formats such as a fall breakfast or business mixer for members and noted continued reliance on public-works support for events.
