Council approves multiple plats, bills and routine resolutions; several items continued for consent review

At the meeting the council approved multiple minor plats and payments of bills, approved a Yeager subdivision and Neemerge commercial plat, and agreed to bring several items (liquor license issuance, July 4 closures, parking lot IGA, website contract and Merchant Street takings) back on upcoming consent agendas.
The City Council approved a package of routine land plat resolutions and financial items and scheduled several items for formal consent review at a later meeting.
Approved items included final plats for Lots 39 and 40 of Lake Edward Estates (Resolution 29‑2026), replatting in Town and Country subdivision (Resolution 33‑2026), preliminary and final plats for Yeager Subdivision (Resolution 34‑2026), and approval for the Neemerge Outerbelt West commercial subdivision (Resolution 35‑2026). Council also moved and approved payment of bills and requisitions.
Staff described the Yeager lot as a 4.2‑acre carve‑out from a larger parcel and noted the Neemerge lot will initially rely on private sewage disposal until public sanitary sewer is extended. For the Merchant Street reconstruction phase, the City Engineer said staff plans 12 right‑of‑way takings with a combined estimate of about $23,979.97; the individual ordinances for each taking will return on the consent agenda.
Other items were discussed but not finalized at the meeting: the ordinance that issues a new liquor license for Upper Deck Bar and Grill will be considered at the next meeting, the Rotary request for Fourth of July street closures was set to return to the consent agenda, staff will bring an intergovernmental agreement with the county for a joint parking lot resurfacing back to consent after budget review, and the proposed three‑year Granicus website/CRM contract (first‑year cost $27,156.60) will be returned on the appropriate consent agenda for action.
Council members indicated support for the routine approvals and directed staff to bring the deferred items back with the requested details and cost estimates.
