Lombard trustees approve consent agenda, OK Summerfest alcohol request; multiple contracts awarded
Summary
At its May 21 meeting the Lombard Board approved payroll and accounts-payable items, awarded several public-works and maintenance contracts (painting, asphalt, dredging, sewer lining, HVAC), approved DuPage Mayors and Managers dues, and approved a first-reading ordinance to allow alcohol at Summerfest (one trustee abstained).
The Village of Lombard Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda on May 21, which included payroll and accounts-payable items and several contract awards.
Clerk Sheila read payroll of $1,075,503.86; accounts-payable amounts included $528,129.84 and $2,052,771.31. The board approved those items by roll call.
Contract awards recorded on the consent agenda included a painting contract for Stations 44 and 45 to Celtic Commercial Painting LLC for $51,750; the fiscal year 2026 asphalt roadway program to RW Duntman Company for $1,392,000; a sole-source Westwood Creek dredging contract to ILM for $67,568.33; a sanitary sewer lining program contract to Hair Construction Incorporated for $887,638; and multi-building HVAC replacements to Anchor Mechanical for $205,337.90. The board also approved continuation of a banking-services contract with Wheaton Bank and Trust (a WinTrust community bank) through April 30, 2029, and approved DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference membership dues ($39,035.07).
On a separate item, the board voted on a first-reading ordinance to permit the sale and consumption of beer at Summerfest on June 20, 2026, at 800 E. Roosevelt Road; Trustee Levesque abstained due to a personal relationship with ownership and remaining trustees voted to approve the waiver and first reading.
The board recorded the votes by roll call and moved on to separate-action items.
