Grishkot also said an emergency shelter was activated on March 16 in response to an impending storm. She reported that the Secretary and Central Office have instituted monthly performance cabinet meetings to review compliance and kinship data and that Harford County will lead the first session on March 23, 2026.
An Assistant Director for Child Support had been scheduled to present to the board that evening but, citing limited attendance, will present at a future meeting instead. Grishkot noted that March is Social Work Month and highlighted agency events recognizing staff.
The board received these operational updates for situational awareness; no formal policy actions or votes related to the audit timetable or shelter activation were taken at the meeting. Staff were asked to prepare onboarding materials and statistical presentations for newly appointed board members to provide additional context on agency performance and kinship programs.
