The Adair County Board of Supervisors approved claims totaling $402,376.30 during its May 13, 2026 regular session, the clerk reported.
The claims list included large line items for road and capital work: Agriland FS Inc. ($72,906.64) for fuel, Govco Inc. ($99,290.11), Gus Construction Co. Inc. ($54,821.44), and Townsend Ventures LLC ($82,500.00). The board recorded fund allocations including $96,756.73 from the Secondary Road Fund and $171,362.85 to the NW Wind Farm UR Capital Project.
The board approved the claims as presented; as the minutes note, “All motions were approved unanimously unless noted otherwise,” the clerk said. Smaller vendor payments covered routine county operations such as utilities, publications and equipment leases.
Why it matters: the approved claims and fund allocations direct cash flow for routine county operations and ongoing road, bridge and capital projects, including funds earmarked for wind-farm-related capital work and a miscellaneous capital projects payment.
The board moved, seconded and approved the claims and associated fund distributions during the session. No votes against or abstentions were recorded in the minutes. The meeting adjourned at 9:32 a.m.
