The presenter explained that some planned work has been pushed out a year because prior spending replaced an iron filter in the plant for roughly $30–35,000 the prior year.
Why it matters: aging water infrastructure risks service disruptions and regulatory noncompliance. The sanitary survey item and repeated small leaks indicate both public‑health and service continuity importance. Council asked staff to keep capital plans updated and to seek contractor estimates for fences and tower work.
