Council Member Sabrina Rose announced a Veterans resource fair set for May 12, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the City Hall Annex and recognized National Financial Literacy Month. Council Member Ryan Holtb rooks reported progress on the Moton Park playground and noted one missing piece is temporarily cordoned off pending replacement.
Three residents addressed the council during public comment. Joe White of 7129 Elliot Lane thanked council and the inspections office regarding the park ordinance. Victoria McDonald of 1064 Crest Rd raised concerns about housing rules and requested better communication with residents. Denetrice Oden of 1059 Kings Forest Dr asked that a yield sign at Presidents Street be reinstalled.
