At its April 21 meeting the Byram Township Council approved a multi-item consent agenda, adopted Ordinance No. 006-2026 on final reading and approved the bill list.
The consent agenda (motion by Councilwoman Franco, second by Councilman Proctor) included: Resolution No. 094-2026 granting a 100% disabled veteran property tax exemption for Block 304 Lot 3.02 for 2026 and partial cancellation of first-half taxes; Resolution No. 095-2026 authorizing up to $1,701,600 in bond anticipation notes; Resolution No. 096-2026 authorizing the purchase of one 2026 Ford Maverick not to exceed $37,628.80 for the Department of Public Works; Resolution No. 097-2026 authorizing contracts with approved state contract vendors under N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12 and N.J.A.C. 5:34-7-29; and Resolution No. 098-2026 approving a license agreement with Hudson Farm Holdings, LLC for a public trail.
Ordinance No. 006-2026, described as a capital expenditure not to exceed $30,000 for new equipment for the Department of Public Works, was passed on final reading. The council directed that notice of final passage be published on the township website in accordance with the law.
The bill list for April 21, 2026, was approved by motion of Councilwoman Franco, seconded by Councilman Proctor; the minutes show voting marks and note recusal flags on the bill list vote. The council adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
