Summary

The committee directed the City Attorney to perform a side‑by‑side comparison to identify subsections to repeal and subsections to retain or refine (for example, the display/visibility restriction in subsection 1).
- AT&T franchise renewal: The committee asked staff to research FCC precedent regarding whether franchise fees can be applied to Internet revenues rather than telephone revenues and to return with recommendations for the July meeting.
These directions are committee recommendations or staff assignments; formal ordinance changes or franchise approvals would require additional actions by the full council.
