Aiden Dearborn of Crown Sign Systems said the submitted façade sign will attach to the main entrance and feature the Alex and Elizabeth Lewitt Charitable Trust name alongside the ASPCA logo; he confirmed the sign is non‑illuminated. "It's for the Alex and Elizabeth Lewitt Charitable Trust Fund to display their name on the building and as well as the ASPCA logo," Dearborn said.
Board members indicated a freestanding monument or pylon sign previously approved with the site plan might be separately permitted. Members recommended a stone or masonry base, landscaping around any ground sign and avoiding an all‑orange background while allowing the orange ASPCA logo against a gray field for conformity with other plaza signage.
A motion to approve the façade sign as submitted passed with no recorded opposing votes during the discussion.
Next steps: the applicant may submit the separate pylon/monument sign drawings for review; code enforcement staff will review both signs for conformance if resubmitted together.
