Summerfield council approves consent agenda, corrects June 6 attendance record

At its meeting tonight, the Summerfield Town Council approved the consent agenda and amended the June 6 special meeting attendance record to state that Scott Whitaker and attorney Jim Hoffman were not present; the motion carried unanimously.

Mayor pro Tem Linde Bang moved “to move that we approve the consent agenda as written,” and then moved to amend the minutes to exclude Whitaker and Hoffman from the June 6 attendance list. The motion was seconded and the mayor called for the question; the council voted in favor without opposition.

The amendment clarified attendance on the June 6 special call meeting minutes. Mayor pro Tem Linde Bang said the change was intended to correct the official record; the mayor called the vote and members responded “aye.” No member recorded a dissent or abstention on the vote as taken in the meeting.

By approving the amended consent agenda, the council finalized routine items and moved on to scheduled announcements and staff introductions later in the agenda.

The council did not specify additional follow-up actions related to the June 6 minutes during the meeting.
