Boscawen committee finishes facility vulnerability updates, assigns follow-up tasks

The Town of Boscawen Hazard Mitigation Committee met on Jan. 8, 2025, and completed updates to its Critical & Community Facility Vulnerability Assessment (CCFVA), the group reported. Stephanie Alexander of the Central New Hampshire Regional Planning Commission called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. in the Boscawen Police Department meeting room and reviewed the agenda.
Committee members approved the minutes from the Dec. 18, 2024 meeting. The session focused on reviewing and updating the CCFVA tables for town facilities and drafting problem statements that describe how specific hazards could affect each location and its operations. According to the minutes, the CCFVA tables and problem statements were completed by the end of the meeting.
Members also reviewed the town map to identify past and potential hazard locations for inclusion in planning products. The committee scheduled its next meeting for Feb. 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. and set additional meeting dates in advance.
For follow-up, the committee assigned homework: members are to review associated maps and identify areas of past and potential hazard events and send that information to salexander@cnhrpc.org. The minutes also direct members to review the CCFVA tables and coordinate with Planning and Zoning to supply accurate property values for structures that are missing them.
