Lowndes County approves utility permits for fiber and Caledonia water service

The Lowndes County Board on Jan. 5 approved two utility permits presented by County Engineer Zach Foster: a 4-County underground 24-count ADSS fiber installation along Charleigh Ford Drive and a Caledonia Water & Sewer Department permit for a 3/4" water service line on Cal-Steens Road.
Supervisor Leroy Brooks moved to approve the 4-County fiber permit; Supervisor Matt Furnari seconded and the motion passed 5-0. Supervisor Matt Furnari then moved to approve the Caledonia Water & Sewer Department permit for the 3/4" line; Supervisor Andy Williamson seconded and the board voted 5-0 to spread the approval on the minutes.
The permits authorize underground placement of utility infrastructure; no construction schedules or funding responsibilities were recorded in the minutes.
