The proposed survey would ask simple, focused questions about business concerns—taxes, traffic, workforce, internet access—and include contact information for follow-up assistance.
Several members recommended complementing the mail survey with sector-specific focus meetings (hospitality, restaurants and service industries) to obtain more detailed, conversational feedback. One member noted strong turnout earlier when agricultural producers were invited and suggested using the same approach for other sectors.
A committee member also pointed out that the town’s recently passed sustainability program may include grant funds the commission could apply for to support outreach coordination; members agreed to review eligibility and potential uses.
