At its Jan. 7 special work session the Town of Gilford Board of Selectmen approved operational spending for equipment and facility repairs.
Selectman Dale Channing Eddy moved to approve a three‑month rental of an L90 Volvo Loader from Chadwick‑Baross of Westbrook, Maine, at $4,700 per month. The motion, seconded by Selectman Gus Benavides, passed unanimously (3‑0). The minutes state the rental will carry a 100% credit for rental payments toward the purchase price if voters approve the purchase at Town Meeting.
On a separate motion, Selectman Eddy moved to approve payments of $845.50 and $1,391.91 (total $2,237.41) for fire station heating system repairs to come from the Building Repair Capital Reserve Fund; Selectman Benavides seconded and the motion passed 3‑0. The minutes record the fund's current balance as $65,001.
The session adjourned at 4:20 p.m. following those approvals.
