The Town of Gilford Board of Selectmen voted Jan. 7 to approve an amended FY2026 revenue estimate of $8,191,685 and to recommend a $23,500 special warrant article for Lakes Region Mental Health.
The board, meeting in a special work session at Gilford Town Hall, reached unanimous consensus not to amend the operating budget for any wage adjustments. Selectman Dale Channing Eddy moved to approve the amended revenue estimate; Selectman Gus Benavides seconded and the motion passed 3‑0.
Later in the same agenda item, Selectman Benavides moved that the board recommend $23,500 in the special warrant article budget as an appropriation to Lakes Region Mental Health, "as requested in their petition." Selectman Eddy seconded; the motion passed 3‑0.
Town Administrator Scott Dunn and department chiefs were in attendance for the session; the minutes record no further debate or amendments to the revenue estimate or the recommended warrant amount. The recommended warrant will appear on the town warrant for consideration by voters at Town Meeting.
