The Fairfield Township Board of Adjustment re-elected Tony Lipari as its chairman for 2025 and approved the board’s roster of professionals and its rules and procedures at a reorganization session that opened the Feb. 18 meeting.
The board opened reorganization business with nominations and a roll-call vote that returned Lipari to the chair. Members then nominated Rich Trovato for vice chair; that nomination was seconded and approved by roll call. Chair Lipari thanked the board, saying, "It's always a pleasure to serve you guys."
The board next moved to confirm appointments for the year: Lou Rago as board attorney, Steve Berry as township engineer and board secretary, Margo Biblin as transcriber, and Burgess Associates as planner. The motion to appoint the professionals was seconded and approved by roll call.
After approving the appointments, the board adopted its 2025 rules and procedures packet. The chair then moved to close the reorganization portion of the meeting and convene the regular meeting; the motion carried.
The actions were procedural and routine: the board recorded roll-call votes for each motion and entered the adopted rules and the professional appointments into the meeting record. The meeting continued into regular business, including public hearings on land-use applications later in the evening.
