At the Governance & Administration Committee meeting held Jan. 21, Committee Chair Commissioner Epstein moved to recommend that commissioners authorize township staff to advertise a notice of intent to adopt an ordinance amending the township code (Chapter 7) to change the name of the Administrative and Human Resources Committee to the Governance and Administration Committee. Commissioner Epstein’s motion was seconded and the committee approved the recommendation unanimously.
The board later convened its regular meeting and included the committee action on its consent calendar. With no members requesting removal of any consent item, the board moved to approve the consent calendar as presented. The township secretary called the roll and recorded unanimous approval on the adopted items; commissioners voted aye by roll call. President Sinai announced that the consent calendar, which included the committee name‑change authorization, was duly adopted.
