Willow Park names two interim city managers and approves temporary raises

A councilmember moved to make Fisher and Gelker interim city managers with Fisher as primary point of contact; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Councilmembers noted the appointments are temporary while the council continues recruiting for a permanent city manager.
Councilmembers discussed that the two appointees would perform their current duties in addition to interim manager responsibilities. 'We're not just throwing money out there,' a councilmember said; 'they know they will be doing their current jobs in addition to the new job.' The vote formalizes the interim assignments and temporary compensation approved on Oct. 14.
