President Stilwell and Chief Rollins presided while Officers Jasmine Rivera and Marissa Lullo took the oath to support the U.S. and Illinois constitutions and to faithfully discharge their duties to the village code. Both officers and family members thanked the board and the department; Chief Rollins introduced the new officers and acknowledged their progress from the academy through field training.
Finance Director Karen Johns presented the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the village’s FY2025 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, praising current and former finance staff and the audit team for the report work.
The board also approved proclamations recognizing May 10–16 as National Police Week and May 17–23 as Public Works Week in Sugar Grove, with trustees commending the police and public‑works departments for their service and recent efforts in the community.
