"Everything is free," she said when summarizing the museum's planned attractions.
A committee member who attended a refugee-support training recommended inviting trainers from Corvallis for Refugees to speak to the committee or city council in the fall and noted the organization is looking for volunteers. Members agreed recruiting volunteers and including community input in trainings would be useful.
Megan Irwin briefed the committee on a Teen Art Collective meeting Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m., working to connect teenagers from surrounding schools; members offered to post flyers and promote the Instagram page and local school connections.
Members also discussed outreach logistics: the committee was invited to table at Philomath Pride (members volunteered to staff a table and requested printed talking points and materials), and staff described a farmers-market outreach concept ("What's up Philomath") to gather community organizations for a special market day planned a few months out.
