Tindall said the program supports juniors and seniors with one‑ to two‑year workforce experiences and that any business in the Kenosha community can partner with the district on placements; the exact student participation count was not available at the special meeting but will be provided at the March board meeting.
Head Start (S10, introduced in the packet as Mr. Heathcock) provided semiannual figures: the program currently serves 373 children in 72 classrooms, has 52 children on a wait list, and passed the 2025 federal FA2 monitoring with zero findings of noncompliance. Staff also said they will apply for $2,681,087 in federal operations funding for July–June of the next fiscal period.
No votes were taken on these items at the special meeting; the administration asked the board to approve submission of the grant applications and to review participation data at the March meeting.
