Theresa, who presented the request to the council, said proceeds from the gala will support parking-lot paving and maintenance at the church. Mayor Byron Lewis asked Councilmember Greg Brimhall, who was attending in person, to sign the town's portion of the license application.
Councilmember Travis Kay seconded a motion to approve the license after the presentation; the motion, made by Mayor Byron Lewis, passed unanimously among those present. Present and recorded as voting yes were Mayor Byron Lewis, Councilmember Greg Brimhall, Mark Sheen and Travis Kay. Council members Joe Bjornn, Reid Stinnett and Cory Johnson were recorded as absent.
The approved license covers the special event on May 9, 2026. No additional funding amounts or permit conditions were specified during the meeting. The council adjourned at 10:10 AM.
The town clerk or authorized council member will complete and sign any paperwork required to finalize the license application ahead of the May 9 event.
