During the opening session on March 26, the Escambia County Board approved Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and budget consent items and voted to reinstate a school sewer connection as part of the county’s residential improvement grant program.
The clerk read the CRA consent agenda and confirmed proof of publication. The board recorded the CRA minutes vote as "three, zero, with two commissioners out." The budget and finance consent agenda — which included recommendations concerning cancellation of residential roof program liens and residential rehab grant funding and lien agreements — was also moved, seconded and approved (the chair recorded four in favor).
Staff requested reinstatement of the school sewer connection for non‑homestead homeowners participating in the residential improvement grant program and noted that stipulations in the agreement had been revised and previously distributed to commissioners. The board approved the revised agreements and reinstatement so properties that are rented or held in trust could be connected to sewer under the revised terms.
There were no public speakers during the CRA meeting. The CRA adjourned and the board proceeded into a committee meeting of the whole.
