The consultants recommended focusing on robust monitoring that can produce usable, standards‑comparable data and urged the county to consider engaging in standards development or federal/state advocacy if it seeks regulatory levers.
No formal action was taken. Staff said they would report back when monitoring results are available and suggested the board consider whether to pursue additional sampling or advocacy on standards.
