TAG Center reports growing programming and requests committee approval for several small capital projects

The TAG Center presenter (Speaker 5) updated the committee on programming, facility improvements and partnerships at the May 26 meetings.
Staff said senior meals began May 4 at the TAG Center and that a Health Hub event in partnership with Dodge County Health Department was among the most attended Health Hub locations. Summer program guides were released with offerings including Strong Bodies, water volleyball, youth sports camps and babysitting courses, and the center completed several facility improvements including new fitness TVs, flooring transition strips and repairs to a golf simulator camera.
On funding and capital work the Finance Committee reviewed and recommended quotes for several TAG Center projects: a pool coordinator ($4,170) and window repairs ($3,800) funded through TAG Incorporated, roof repairs ($21,455) covered by the Bach Huber Foundation grant, and a full flow meter sensor ($5,847.56) funded through TAG Incorporated. Committee members said these items had been reviewed and supported by TAG Inc. and moved to recommend them to the Common Council.
Staff also asked for volunteers and public support for Music in the Park on June 18 to benefit the TAG Center. Committee members asked questions about revenues from electronic golf simulators and rental patterns; staff said simulator revenues had been strong and noted a short pool maintenance closure and repainting schedule.
