The panel approved an agreement with AECOM Technical Services Inc. to perform a feasibility study for a proposed new I‑85 interchange at West Fair Road. The commission also approved an amendment to the Pneumo DMV LLC contract for a self‑service kiosk, contract extensions for trucking and construction delivery and pickup (including Stevens Truck, Lashley Trucking LLC, Dunn Construction Company and Martin Marietta) extending terms through June 30, 2027, and a subrecipient agreement with the Montgomery County Community Cooperative District for the Innovate Alabama network grant program.
Other approved items included a partnership between the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the National Association of Counties Research Foundation, a lease renewal with Williamson Properties Ltd. for purchase of clay gravel, several miscellaneous appropriations (including a $2,000 contribution from Commissioner Harris to the Green Acres Homeowners Association), travel and training requests for county staff and a grant award for the 2026 VAWA STOP prosecution program. The commission also approved the appointment of Chairman Singleton to the ACCA legislative committee.
