Trustees approved an agreement with CTC Consortium Training & Consulting for safety assessment services after Trustee Tiffany Sadoff explained the board’s priority to complete assessments at all campuses this school year.
Sadoff told the board she had previously urged a full review of campus safety and praised staff for vetting firms and coordinating with local police. "We would like to see this brought back to us as a priority that these could be completed" this year, she said, noting the district had sought help from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security but needed a local contract to finish remaining sites.
Superintendent Stock confirmed the contract stipulates completion of the assessments by May 15, 2025. "The contract before you stipulates that by May 15, 2025 these to be all completed," Stock said.
The board moved, seconded and approved the item by roll call. Trustees emphasized the importance of involving local law enforcement in the process and balancing thoroughness with fiduciary responsibility.
What’s next: district staff will proceed with the vendor-managed assessment schedule and report findings to trustees when available.
