School board approves $32.7 million FY27 budget with 2% pay increase

She noted the Virginia General Assembly had not finalized the state budget and the Virginia Department of Education’s final calculation tool had not been released, which could require an amendment to the FY27 budget after state action.
Board members moved to approve the budget as presented. The motion passed by voice vote with no opposition recorded in the public portion of the transcript. The board did not record a roll-call tally in the public transcript; members indicated approval by saying “aye.”
