Committee presses for parent-advisory recruitment, asks superintendent for May update

Ms. Lubold moved that the superintendent return in May with an update on recruitment and the functioning of CPAC and LPAC; the motion was seconded and passed on a roll call. Committee members emphasized that these advisory bodies are created under Massachusetts law and should be parent-led rather than administration-driven.
Following discussion, the committee proposed and approved an ad hoc committee to work on recruitment and outreach; volunteers (including Ms. Lubold) offered to serve and the composition will be presented for formal approval at the next committee meeting. The committee agreed the ad hoc group will report back to the full committee.
