Assistant Superintendent Lisa Gibson presented revised contract language and said administrative contracts would be issued following approval on the schedule aligned with talent management processes. On the certified contracts she noted the state designates March 15 as the earliest issuance date; because March 15 falls on a Sunday this year, certified contracts will be issued on Monday, March 16 to give employees additional days to consider acceptance.
The board moved and seconded each item and approved them unanimously (5–0). The motions recorded during the meeting included approval of the agenda and consent agenda earlier in the evening, and later specific motions to: approve administrative contract language and authorize issuance, approve educational support professionals contract language and authorize issuance, and approve certified contract language and issue certified contracts on March 16.
Board members discussed timing and staff noted that if the budget allows for salary increases, contract addendums would be issued later in spring. The board also heard that the five spring‑break days will not count toward the 15 business‑day window employees have to accept or reject certified contracts.
