NEISD trustees elect David Beyer president, select vice president and secretary
Summary
After qualifying newly sworn trustees, the Northeast Independent School District board held officer elections and chose David Beyer as president; vice president and secretary positions also filled by unanimous board votes.
After completing the canvass and swearing-in of newly elected trustees, the Northeast Independent School District Board of Trustees elected its officers.
The board opened nominations for president under board policy BDAA (one-year experience requirement). Mrs. Lisa Thompson nominated David Beyer for president; the nomination was seconded and the board elected him by roll-call vote, 7'to'0.
Nominations for vice president and secretary followed. The nominated candidates were approved by unanimous roll-call votes. The board recorded the vice president and secretary elections as passing by 7'to'0.
Board procedures for nominations and roll-call voting were followed; no contested challenges to officer eligibility or to the voting process were recorded in the public meeting.
