Board awards Judicial Ditch 32 repair contract to R & E Enterprises of Mankato

The Blue Earth County Drainage Authority awarded a repair contract for Judicial Ditch 32 at its May 26 meeting, selecting R & E Enterprises of Mankato as the low responsive bidder.
Staff reported seven public bids were received for a MnDOT Highway 30 crossing repair that includes a new concrete culvert and HDPE subsurface tile. ISG’s engineer estimate for the work was $120,628.50; the lowest responsive bid came from R & E Enterprises of Mankato for $126,947.82. Staff reported positive reference checks and recommended awarding the contract to R & E Enterprises. The board moved, seconded and approved the award by voice vote. Substantial completion under the contract is set for Sept. 15, 2026.
Staff said the repair plans were developed in cooperation with MnDOT, landowners, county drainage management and ISG staff.
