The Caro City Council approved a package of routine contracts and capital expenditures during its April 7 meeting.
Key approvals included authorization for Cribley Drilling Company to clean Well #6 for $10,950 (motion 25‑M‑66); acceptance of Bergman Corporation’s bid to revitalize City Hall bathrooms for $26,760 with authority for the City Manager to sign required documents (motion 25‑M‑67); and approval of ROWE Professional Services’ proposal to provide construction engineering for the Old Police Station parking lot project for $29,800, with City Manager signature authority (motion 25‑M‑68). Council also approved reallocating $5,000 in Parks & Recreation capital outlay funds to repair volleyball pits (motion 25‑M‑70).
Council granted permission for Hole Shot Promotions to hold the AMA District 14 Flat Track Race at the Caro Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 30, 2025, to be coordinated with city fire and police and to end at dusk (motion 25‑M‑65). All motions were recorded as carried in the minutes.
Why it matters: These approvals authorize near‑term public‑works activity, building improvements and an event on city property; budgetary impact is limited to the amounts listed in the minutes and the approved reallocation.
Next steps: The City Manager was authorized to sign necessary documents for awarded bids and will return any contracts to council as required for final execution.
