The Putnam County Board of County Commissioners adopted a midyear budget "true up" totaling $25,000,000 and approved Resolution 2026-40 at its May 26 meeting.
Deputy Administrator Young told the commission that the midyear true-up is intended to align the county's fund balances with audited financial statements. "This is just your mid year true up," Young said, adding: "Last year's true up was an aggregate total of 27,000,000. This year's true up is an aggregate total of 25,000,000." Young said the detailed breakdowns for each fund and revenue and expense line are on three accompanying pages that were incorporated into the resolution.
After the presentation the chair asked whether commissioners had questions and whether any members of the public wished to speak; none were offered. A board member moved to adopt Resolution 2026-40, and another member seconded the motion. "All in favor say aye," the chair said; the motion carried on a voice vote. The transcript does not record a roll-call tally or individual votes.
The meeting concluded with the chair asking for any other comments; none were offered and the meeting was adjourned.
