WisDOT plans roundabouts, bridge replacements and culvert work in Oneida County this season

Committee member Baier gave a rundown of upcoming WisDOT projects affecting the county. Two roundabouts will be constructed on 8 East at STH 17 south and at CTH G with pavement replacement between them; a detour is in place for that work. Two local bridge projects were described: a full replacement on Haymeadow Road and pier rehabilitation on Town Road X.
Baier said USH 45 between Monico and Three Lakes will have 23 culverts replaced, and USH 51 will receive concrete patches in downtown Minocqua. He added USH 51 concrete repairs from USH 8 to CTH L will require detours; that detour was expected to be lifted before Memorial weekend with flagging operations to continue after the holiday.
The commission did not discuss county-specific construction projects at this meeting but recorded the state projects and detour impacts for local planning and coordination.
