ADRC Committee to advertise citizen vacancy, elect vice-chair in May and move meeting date

Members agreed to elect a vice-chair at the May meeting. Because the committee’s regular meeting date falls on Memorial Day, members set the May meeting for Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Balsam Room at the ADRC.
Ms. Olkowski also reviewed upcoming ADRC events: an April 30 card-making class (reservations required), a May 22 'Picnic in the Park' Fun Friday at Pioneer Park (suggested $5 donation), and World Elder Abuse Awareness Day programming on June 18 with a presentation by Donna Rosner of the Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources (GWAAR). Ms. Beth Hoerchler reported recent hires (three filled positions) and two openings in process. The minutes record that Adult Protective Services referrals are up compared with last year while call and walk-in volumes are about the same.
