At the start of the meeting the council approved the board minutes for April 28, 2026 after a motion and second; the chair announced the motion carried following a voice vote.
City Manager Don King and other staff gave brief updates on ongoing work: cost estimates for the water plant and bait shop properties, an environmental site review that staff said is required before work at Brashear Park can proceed, and progress on FDOT reviews for medians and a golf‑cart crossing. Staff said drainage permits and utility letters remain outstanding before construction can be bid. Council noted a $250,000 appropriation that will help align planting and construction schedules and heard an estimated permit/engineering timeline for median work.
A motion to adjourn was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
