Black Jack council unanimously adopts safety policy and approves FY2026 wages

The Black Jack City Council on Jan. 20 unanimously adopted two resolutions affecting city personnel policy and employee pay.
Resolution 260101, "A Resolution Adopting a Statement of Policy Concerning Safety and Loss Prevention," was read by title and placed on passage by Councilman Krank. The motion was seconded and the council voted 7–0 in favor (Councilwoman Lawson; Councilwoman Thames; Councilman Grady; Councilwoman Johnson; Councilman Krank; Councilwoman James; Councilman Miller). The resolution was attached to the meeting minutes and made a part of the record.
Resolution 260102, "Salary/Wage for Certain City of Black Jack, Missouri Employees for Fiscal Year 2026," was read in its entirety. Councilwoman Thames moved its passage; the motion was seconded and the council approved it by a 7–0 roll call (Lawson, Thames, Grady, Johnson, Krank, James, Miller: yes). The resolution text was attached to the minutes and entered into the record.
Both measures passed without recorded opposition or abstentions. The council placed the resolutions under the "Resolutions" section for formal adoption; minutes reflecting these actions will be approved at the Feb. 3, 2026 council meeting.
