Brown County commissioners approve minutes, payroll and sign support letter for Robinson brush truck

The Brown County Board of Commissioners on May 18 approved meeting minutes from May 11 and May 16, approved payroll for May 13, and agreed to sign a letter supporting the City of Robinson’s Community Development Block Grant application for a brush truck.
Commissioner Richard Tesoriero moved to approve the May 11 and May 16, 2026 minutes “as presented.” Commissioner William Pollock seconded and the motion carried, according to the minutes.
Commissioner William Pollock then moved to approve the May 13, 2026 payroll; Commissioner Tesoriero seconded and the motion carried. The minutes record payroll distributions across county funds totaling $180,613.54, with the largest share posted to the General fund ($103,770.75) and other amounts allocated to Road & Bridge, Appraiser, Employee benefits and additional accounts.
Later in the meeting commissioners considered a request to sign a letter of support for the City of Robinson’s application to the federal Community Development Block Grant program to help purchase an emergency response brush truck for the Robinson Fire Department. “Motion by Commissioner Tesoriero to sign a letter of support for the CDBG application,” the minutes state; Commissioner Pollock seconded and the motion carried.
At 2:09 p.m., Chairman Lucas Heinen moved to recess into a 10-minute executive session to discuss potential legal liability and to protect attorney–client privilege; Commissioner Pollock seconded. County Counselor Austin Parker remained in the session. The board returned to open session at 2:19 p.m. with no action taken.
Chairman Heinen moved to adjourn at 2:22 p.m.; Commissioner Tesoriero seconded and the motion carried. The board set its next regular meeting for Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
