Costs cited in the discussion were approximate; staff and commissioners referenced a high-end estimate in the vicinity of $100,000 and noted that any contract over $50,000 could require a commission vote depending on funding source. The sheriff’s office and tourism fund (TRCC) were discussed as possible funding sources for some signs.
Chair suggested tabling the item for two weeks so staff can identify phase-one buildings, obtain firm pricing and clarify which funds would pay for the work. The motion to table carried by voice vote.
