Griswold selectmen table some reappointments and approve several appointments

At the Jan. 13 selectmen meeting, Griswold leaders moved and voted on multiple personnel items on the agenda.
Chair introduced reappointment items for the Economic Development Commission and asked the board to table two of them so members could meet with the EDC and review practices in nearby towns; motions to table the reappointments of Tom Giardt and Rich Canover were moved and seconded and were approved by voice vote.
The board reappointed Mary Rose (transcript contains both "DeVoe" and "DeBeau") as town historian for a one-year term after members said the appointee had requested a short term. The board also moved to reappoint Jackie Jamrock as an alternate member of the Ethics Commission for a 01/13/2026–01/12/2027 term, and it appointed Beverly Dumpkowski to fill an unexpired term on the Griswold Housing Authority (02/01/2023–01/31/2028 as read into the record). All of those motions were seconded and carried by voice vote.
Board members said some appointment terms and dates were read from submitted paperwork; where the transcript recorded inconsistent spellings or garbled dates, the board asked staff to confirm the official records.
