40 Ash Street donated to Habitat for Humanity; recreation events and community programs noted

Township staff told the council that 40 Ash Street has been donated to Habitat for Humanity and will be deeded as an affordable housing unit with a 30-year deed restriction; the township manager will present a resolution on waiving zoning and engineering fees at a future meeting.
Councilwoman Franco updated the council on Recreation Committee activities: the Polar Plunge is scheduled for Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. with support from the fire department, Lifeguard/Beach Club volunteer Jesse Barton and local EMS and police for safety; hot chocolate and snacks are planned and the food pantry will accept donations. Franco also said planning has begun for Byram Fest on Aug. 23, 2025 and that spring sports field assignments and the spring program book distribution are under way.
